Floatation Tank Redux : Saturday Morning Float

Immanuel looked agog, as if he had just seen the effulgent Amida Buddha.

“This is AMAZING ! I could feel how thoughts create structures [ of tension ] in the body which we carry around, and aren’t even aware of it ! I just kept surrendering more and more [ tension ] and opening up more and more ! Wow ! It brings me back to my Jo Du Shin days. Now I know what we are going to do on our [wedding] Anniversary ! ” he gushed, blissfully.

Pollus looked as relaxed and calm as I had ever seen him. His face appeared at ease, his eyes rounded and open.

“My body relaxed, though I didn’t.” he plainly offered.

Immanuel, Pollus and I had gone for a floatation tank adventure – the first float for both of them. From their comments and their expressions, it sounds like they both had positive, memorable experiences.

From here, today’s float was about deep rest – going right into a liminal state bordering sleep and staying there for the duration.

Every float experience is different.

Am very fortunate to live within driving distance of a floatation tank spa.
