The Chihuahua of Faith

Faith barks,
insistent
it refers to something,
extant,
somewhere.

Does it ?

Faith quickly hears
far beyond walls
opaque to
reason’s view.

Faith calls
nihilism
a cop-out,
the mind’s game
played in a dark, tiny corner
of a gloomy conceptual bog ….

Neither cause nor driver,
faith comes after the fact;
tagging along
like a little dog
following
on a walk…
a hybrid
of attention,
inclination,
and
attitude.

Logic and reason limit, rule out, exclude.
Faith expands, allows, embraces.

Allowing is how “we” touch
the non-separate
limitless mystery.

The little dog of faith
makes for good company.
