Mental Examination

Mental examination:  one foundational practice that supports, permits, abets all others.

By mental examination, am referring to the relentless examination of mind that complete honesty and genuine spiritual practice demanded.

Day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment, watching the movements of the mind.
Allowing no motivation to go unexamined.
Allowing no self-deception to stand unchallenged.
Ultimately allowing no identity to stand, at all.

Watching thoughts and emotions, preferences, impressions; all day, every day.

This protects from many mistakes and much confusion.
It’s absence leads to a lack of integrity.

Mental examination lacks for nothing.

It led to to trustworthiness, self-knowledge, and finally to gnosis.

All that’s required
is relentless application,
searing honesty,
and choosing truth/reality over comfort/illusion, every time.
No exceptions.

Simple.
